Perfect for competitive shooting, classes and hunting, these custom-molded medical-grade silicone earplugs include specially designed acoustic impulse filters that reduce high-intensity percussive sounds such as gunfire. The filters filter out loud impulse noises without sacrificing listening quality for the sounds you want to hear (face-to-face conversations, game sounds, range commands, etc).

Noise Reduction Rating: Since this is an acoustic filter that responds to acoustic impulse, the more pressure created by gunfire, the higher the NRR will be. Tested at 13 NRR in non-impulse mode for regular speaking voices. Approximately ~26 NRR for 9mm handgun fire, IPIL rating of 33.1 dB
Production Process & Timing:
- You will go get a professional set of ear molds from your local audiologist (they usually charge about $50 for this, and it’s an FSA-approved expense)
- We’ll send you a pre-paid shipping label, and reach out to you about color customization.
- Ear molds come in Black, Blue, Brown, Camouflage, Champagne, Clear, Green, Light Blue, Light Pink, Light Purple, Onyx (metallic black), Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Rose Transparent, Slate, Sterling, Tan, White and Yellow.
- You mail your ear molds to RangeSport HQ using the prepaid mailing label. Also include a copy of your audiologist’s receipt and we’ll reimburse you for that expense in the form of a store credit you can use for anything we sell
- We’ll take care of everything, and you’ll get your new custom-molded ear protection in the mail in approximately 2-3 weeks,
